Anthony Becerra

Anthony Becerra is a senior at Edward Reed High School. Anthony is an exceptionally bright and hardworking teenager who was elected president of the Class of 2024 during his freshman year, and this year he has continued to serve as a member of the Student Council.

Anthony wants to make our world a better place. He has a number of academic interests, including immigration, criminal justice, politics, and even movies. But he has developed a passion for the biomedical field, in part thanks to his mother, a veteran and highly respected medical office manager. Anthony won admission to Reed High School’s Biomedical Signature Academy program, where he strives for success.

But despite Anthony’s academic accomplishments, there are obstacles in his path to a higher education. Both his parents work, but their earnings have not been sufficient to save significant sums for college, and inflation has made shopping for necessities difficult. The Foundation rewards Anthony for every semester of high grades with money added to his university fund, and will support him during his university career as well.

Update: Anthony has won Early Admission offers from the University of Nevada-Reno and Arizona State University.
